The Uniform Guidelines on Employee Selection Procedures apply to all selection procedures used to make employment
decisions, including interviews, review of experience or education
from application forms, work samples, physical requirements, and
evaluations of performance. The guidelines are designed to aid in the achievement of our
nation's goal of equal employment opportunity without discrimination
on the grounds of race, color, sex, religion or national origin.
UNIFORM GUIDELINES ON
EMPLOYEE SELECTION PROCEDURES These guidelines incorporate a single set of principles which are designed to assist employers, labor organizations, employment agencies, and licensing and certification boards to comply with requirements of Federal law prohibiting employment practices which discriminate on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, and national origin. They are designed to provide a framework for determining the proper use of tests and other selection procedures.
